As a Cosmetic Surgeon, Las Vegas' Dr. Camberio is a Las Vegas native who graduated from Bishop Gorman Preparatory School. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California in the Psychobiology Honors Program. He went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Colorado and was honored there with the Owens-Swan award for the most promising surgeon in his medical class. Before his five-year training in general and vascular/trauma surgery at the Phoenix Integrated Surgical Residency Program, he performed missionary work in Honduras as a general surgeon at the local medical clinics. While completing his five-year training at the Phoenix Integrated Surgical Residency Program, he served as Chief Surgery Resident and scored nationally in the 99 percentile on his American Board of Surgery in-service examinations. He then elected to continue his medical studies in the areas of cosmetic, plastic and reconstructive surgery at the renowned Mayo Clinic. While at the Mayo Clinic, he participated with Global Health Outreach using his cosmetic and plastic surgical skills to correct congenital facial defects for children living in Vietnam. Dr. Cambeiro's experience at the Mayo Clinic was invaluable to him and he is very proud to have been part of this organization.

Breast Enlargement or augmentation will change the size as well as the contour of your breasts creating a fuller and shapelier bust line. Besides breast size, there are a number of reasons for having breast augmentation including the loss of volume and shape due to pregnancy or weight loss, breasts that have developed unequally, or are abnormally shaped. Breast augmentation is also used for reconstructive surgery do to loss of or trauma to a breast.

There are a variety of surgical methods available for breast enlargement. The insertion and positioning of your implant will depend on your anatomy. Dr. Cambeiro will discuss and make recommendations to you as to which method will best work for you.

There are three different types of incisions that can be used. An inframammary incision is made where the crease of the breast meets the chest. An areola incision is done between the areola and surrounding skin. With these two types of incisions, every effort is made to ensure there is minimal and inconspicuous scarring. Dr. Cambeiro also specializes in endoscopic breast augmentation. This technique is known as an axillary incision which is made in the armpit area. Using an endoscopic camera to see the breast contour boundaries ensures proper placement of the breast implant. This results in no breast scarring and can be performed on nearly all women considering enlargement of their breasts who have realistic expectations.

Breast augmentation is achieved through a Breast Implant procedure that is done on an outpatient basis. The procedure takes from 1 to 2 hours and you can be up within a day but you should avoid any strenuous activities. Heavy lifting should not be done for 4 to 6 weeks.

Breast Implants

Breast Implants are silicone shells filled with either a silicone gel or a sterile saline (salt-water solution). The saline implants are filled with the salt-water solution at the time of surgery. They can be textured or smooth but the smooth implants are less predisposed to wrinkling.

Silicone Breast Implants are also referred to as gel implants. Today, silicone implants have three layers of shell surrounding the gel making them slightly firmer than they were originally but still having a soft texture. This newer construction also impedes gel bleed or leaks.

Although Breast Enhancement is usually equated with breast augmentation, it also includes breast reconstruction, breast reduction, and breast revision. Breast reconstruction techniques are used to replace removed breast tissue due to cancer or trauma. Breast reconstruction also involves re-contouring a breast that didn't develop properly or has a severe breast abnormality. Revision breast surgery is done to correct or improve the results of a primary breast augmentation surgery. Revision surgery recontours the breasts by removing implants or exchanging saline implants for silicone or vise versa. It also involves the softening of firm breasts that have formed scar tissue (capsular contracture). With each on these procedures, the result is not only to improve the balance of your figure but also to enhance your self-image and to create better self-confidence.

A Breast Lift (mastopexy) is a procedure done for women whose breast skin has stretched or sags resulting in less fullness due to pregnancy and nursing. Although smaller breast have better results, larger breasts can be lifted but the result may not be as long lasting for heavier breasts. Weight loss is another cause for droopy breasts and can benefit from a breast lift procedure.

A breast lift is performed under sedation using general anesthesia and is usually done on an outpatient basis. A breast lift usually requires an incision around the nipple area and in the crease under the breast. During the procedure the nipple and breast tissue is lifted to a higher level on your chest raising the nipple and then tightening the skin below it and contouring the breast for a more youthful appearance. A breast lift can be done alone or with a breast implant for breast enlargement.

Male Chest Reduction is an elective surgery to reduce excessive breast tissue creating a flatter and more masculine chest. The procedure uses minimal invasive techniques.
